Dental Services

Children

It is important to us that children have the best possible dental experience. Around age three is usually a good time for children to become acquainted with the sights and sounds of the dental office. We encourage kids to come back to the treatment room by themselves so we can give them an opportunity to interact one on one with our staff. At the first visit, we will introduce them to the various ways we can help keep their teeth healthy and happy. Dr. Miller and the staff will count the developing teeth, provide tooth-brushing instruction and help your child to take pride in his or her smile. Each child is encouraged to proceed at his or her own comfort level and this will determine the type of services provided.

Dental Cleaning and Periodontal (Gum) Disease

A professional dental hygiene cleaning appointment is different for every individual. The typical time interval between cleanings for healthy patients without periodontal disease is typically six months. Patients needing periodontal treatment and follow-up maintenance due to gum disease may be advised to return every three to four months. The goal in periodontal disease management is to slow the progression of bone loss enabling patients to keep their teeth as long as possible.

Emergencies

When dental emergencies arise, we will respond to your problem promptly. During regular office hours, call us as early as possible so we can work to see you promptly. After hours, you may leave a message to have your call returned if you have an urgent dental concern.
